Helga Thomas is the founder and owner of HET Communications, a successful image management agency providing boutique-style, custom tailored personal branding services. Ms. Thomas works directly with high profile clientele on personal image and cross-cultural training for today’s global environment in business, politics, and the entertainment sector. HET’s clients list also includes startup entrepreneurs hoping to take their venture to market or positioning their company for sale.
Ms. Thomas identified increasingly global competition as a key driver in the branding and image management industry when she launched HET Communications in 2009. Her vision to create a firm that employs some non-traditional branding approaches for today’s globally competitive firms and individuals has come to fruition over the last 5 years.
Ms. Thomas has carefully cultivated a wide range of tools that can be deployed with individuals in high-tech, luxury and consumer brand organizations and utilizes her deep understanding of the strategic image management and branding world to develop powerful personal brands that resonate around the world.
In 2001, Ms. Thomas found herself in Europe in support of dressing executives traveling to Asia to promote the early stages of cross-cultural and truly global ventures. It was then that Ms. Thomas realized that globalization requires soft skills that transcend all languages and cultures. Ms. Thomas can be called a true pioneer in identifying the possession of these skills to be the root of most social and professional success.
Helga Thomas is based and lives in Washington, DC. When she is not advising clients she enjoys supporting the Global Kids charity where she also serves on the Advisory Board.
